UTB Covers Michigan vs. Wittenberg Scrimmage

The University of Michigan took on Wittenberg for their second scrimmage of the year in Ann Arbor, MI at Oosterbaan Fieldhouse, and was able to out power the Tigers on the way to a 13-9 win Friday night. Even though Wittenberg started off the scoring with a goal directly off the opening face off, it was a lopsided first quarter, where Trevor Yealy netted two goals as Michigan was up 4-1 after 15 minutes of play. The second quarter was much more back and forth. Wittenberg would score three strait at the end of the half to only be down 7-5 after two quarters. The third quarter was pretty even play, but the Wolverines found the back of the net more than the Tigers, as it was 10-6 after three. Stephen Levitt, Alex Vasileff, and Willie Streenland added the third quarter goals for the Tigers. As the fourth quarter got under way, it looked like Coach John Paul was opening up the roster and sharing the playing time. The Tigers did the same, but Michigan’s depth was too much, as they cruised to a 13-9 final. Yearly lead all scorers with 3 goals, Carrol and Vasileff were both 2 and 1.
